What was the highlight of Cocca Hotel Royal Thai Spa
A good choice for a quiet family weekend
- the room: the suites are very large, fully equipped and have an amazing view on the lake - the inside swimming pool and the spa: they are both well designed, very warm and clean - the staff: they were always super helpful and nice
- the restaurant is average and would say a bit expensive for the quality, comparing with other choices nearby - the overall hotel feels a bit old and stuck in the 90s, not a big deal, but a refresh would be welcome - the location is not bad but be mindful that the hotel is a 40 min walk to Sarnico. Would recommend only to people looking for a quiet place or with a car

What was the highlight of Cocca Hotel Royal Thai Spa
A quiet hotel with old fashioned values of service but a little way away from the town of Sarnico.
The cleanliness of the hotel is good with lovely crisp white sheets and towels. The bathroom is nice and big with a walk in shower making getting ready easy and cool. The fridge is a really useful addition allowing the keeping of cold drinks and milk to hand. The balcony is a nice thing to have as it looks over the pool and beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The bed is big and comfortable and the glazing keeps most noise out to aid restful sleep.
The hotel was a little quieter than we first expected to find it, with a bit of a ghost town feel on the evening we arrived. We were disappointed that the town was a good car ride away meaning someone had to drive each evening. The wardrobes have a very odd layout with very big drawers in the centre so clothes dont hang great and the small drawers are so thin you cant get anything in so leaving clothes in cases was the best option. Breakfast became a bit sparce by the end of the five days. If you went down late there were items missing so not everyone is getting an equal standard. The air con is pre set by the hotel and although it was cool enough most of the time we wouldve liked to have been able to set our own.

Enjoyed our time. Dinners were very good. As was breakfast. Indoor pool was delightful.

Good
Liked small outdoor pool, size of room , good breakfast, and staff were accommodating. There was a microwave and safe in room. Bed was comfortable Room was very clean.
TV didn't work and WiFi was almost non existant There was no data signal getting into the hotel in my room. After reporting these problems nothing was done about the TV and we were told the wi fy was always poor. We did get free parking because TV was not fixed but felt cut off. Thought parking was free anyway . Toilet bowl was very high . The hair dryer was broken . We did get delivered a hand held one.
